This article discusses the findings of a qualitative study in which interviews with translators indicated a unique role in their lives. It focuses particularly on the disadvantages and advantages of machine translation (MT). These data might be utilized in drawing some conclusions about the relationship between translator specialization and the use of machine translation. Generally, a translator who has extensive experience in the field of computer technology employs MT more frequently than someone who doesn't. We have now established the precise function that machine translation plays in the work and life of translators.
